Jessie Girl my Rhodesian Ridgeback eats so fast I guarantee you she cannot taste anything. She scarfs the food fast and noisily.
Is that healthy? No way. And besides not being healthy, she is done eating in one second and then tries to eat Louie’s food (Louie is a little Chihuahua).
We have tried everything and nothing has worked. The opposite is true, the more things we tried, a faster eater Jessie became. A week ago I borrowed a DogPause Bowl from a friend that just bought in Colorado.
I was amazed when we did our own test and realized that we were witnessing Jessie eat her meal in normal speed and not super speed. Wow! Mind you Jessie Girl was way faster then Hank the dog on the video, but sure enough she slowed down and the food lasted longer.
Just FYI, the pictured Rhodesian Ridgeback above is not Jessie, it is one of the dog models from DogPause’s website. I will take Jessie’s picture soon…
DogPause comes in red and blue and it is getting glowing reviews from Veterinarians.
Here is what the DogPause website has to say:
“DogPause is the only dog bowl clinically proven to slow down dogs’ eating.
In clinical tests run by professional vets, DogPause slowed down dogs by an average of 50% vs. standard dog bowls. As vets will confirm, a slower eating dog is a happier, healthier dog with less risk of experiencing (or doing) all sorts of yucky things like vomiting, gas, belching, gagging, experiencing life-threatening bloat, etc. Which makes life better for you and your dog…”You can watch the video here. Summer is almost here and not only do we get beautiful days to take our dogs to the park, we get a whole new wardrobe full of colorful outfits too. That is not the case for my dog. We have a Chihuahua, Louie, who is a loveable crabby old dog that we love dearly. Louie cannot stand clothes except when the weather is cold, then little Louie lets me dress him in whatever I want to. I got him a couple of new outfits and I have to confess I am seriously enjoying playing dress up with Louie.
The last outfit I got him was this one a cute cammo pajama. Cute!
Since Louie does not enjoy summer dress up, and I am a strong believer in making my pets happy; I will have to turn my fashion attention someplace else. Thankfully the 2 new additions across the street will let me do just that…
My new neighbor has 2 pugs, Bella and Zoe, and they love to wear the cutest outfits. They parade in front of Louie in their pink dresses, pajamas and all around coolest clothes. We were just invited to a Housewarming party there and I know the perfect gift to take. The cutest 2 piece bathing suit for Bella and Zoe.
As a mom to kids and animals, I have been asked many times, how can I spend all this money in clothes for my dogs? Well, the answer is simple… One of the great differences between buying clothes for your pet vs. your children is that most of the time the pet stops growing and one outfit will last forever! That is true with Louie’s outfits, he has been wearing his favorite sweater for almost 5 years. The sweater still look great and the $19.99 I paid years ago was a great investment.
There are several places to buy great dog apparel, I have purchased from several online stores and JakesDogHouse.com is one of my favorites because of their return policy. Let’s face it, you only know how good the outfit looks on your dog after he tried it on.
